Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
NanoPDF ("we", "us", "our") operates nanopdf.net. This policy explains what information we collect — and what we do not — when you use our website and tools.
Your files stay on your device
This is the most important point: we do not upload, receive, store, or process your PDF files on our servers. All document operations (merge, and future tools) run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files remain in local memory on your computer or phone until you close the tab.
Information we do not collect
- Your PDF files or their contents
- File names or metadata from documents you process
- Account information (we do not offer accounts or sign-up)
- Payment information (all tools are free)
Information that may be collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log standard technical data when you visit nanopdf.net, such as:
- IP address (used for security and abuse prevention)
- Browser type and device type
- Pages visited and referring URL
- Date and time of access
This data is used to deliver the site, prevent attacks, and understand general traffic patterns. It is not linked to your documents or identity.
Cookies
NanoPDF does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may use essential cookies for security (e.g. bot protection). No third-party analytics or ad networks are embedded in our tools.
Third-party services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Fonts are self-hosted (no Google Fonts CDN). PDF processing uses the open-source pdf-lib library loaded directly in your browser — no external API calls are made with your file data.
Children's privacy
NanoPDF is a general-purpose document tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page as we add tools or change hosting. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revision.
